When we look at these last questions, we could honestly talk about the fact that God chose the Body of Christ, the Ecclesia, to be the hands and feet of Christ on the earth. Therefore, sometimes the role is to be played out in this way, and if the Body is sluggish, then we have sluggish results.
But is even this answer an end all be all? What I'm saying is: though God gave sovereignty to Adam over the earth, Adam threw it away, through deception, to the Enemy. And in Christ the redeemed man can again take it back through the Spirit of God.
Does that mean God himself does not retain His sovereignty? I believe He does. And what I'm alluding to is this. There are events in all of our lives that Yahweh for one reason or another has allowed, but there are other events that Yahweh has not allowed. If you don't believe me, think about all of the times that you may have: had near misses in a car, had someone comfort you when you couldn't take it anymore, maybe helped someone yourself. Why was that? To be fair, we can't be upset and angry about the suffering that we are enduring on one side, and not acknowledge the divine help and safety we have had on the other side.
Does this make our hurt go away? No, probably not. Maybe what we need is to have Yahweh manifest His goodness and be our balm in our hurt. That's what happened to Job. Job wanted answers. God gave him more questions. But when God showed up in a whirlwind, Job didn't care about the answers. He just needed the very presence of Yahweh.
Do I think that this post answers all of your questions or even mine? No. Do I have any answers? Yes, to quote from a movie, I have two. One, there is a God. Two, I'm not Him.
Also, faith is not sight. We want it to be sight sometimes, but it is not how God designed it on this side of eternity. So why don't you join me in praying that Yahweh will manifest His Presence to us.
'Lord God, we need You right now more than ever. If you don't help and comfort us, we have nowhere else to go for You are the God of all comfort, peace, and help. Manifest Your Goodness, Help and healing through the cracks of our pain and fill us up and make us whole again. We cry to You. We cry to You. In Your Son Jesus' name, Amen.'
