Romans is such a great book! I guess probably my favorite chapter is 8. It is so rich in its text. I'm going to focus on one verse for now. Romans 8:3b (NLT), "So God did what the law could not do, He sent his own Son in a body like the body we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin's control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins."
Why did Jesus have a body 'like' ours and not the same? Because Jesus had no sin at all. He never sinned. He was also born of a virgin, and did not share in Adam's generational sin.
